| If you don't have a crock pot, season it and sear it off in a large pot (brown it on all sides). Add an inch of water, sprinkle the onion soup mix on it, put the lid on, place it in a 250F oven and let it go all day. (You don't have to add the soup mix if you don't have it on hand, but it does add tremendous flavor.) Add some new potatoes, baby carrots, and celery chunks around it, and put it back for the last 2 hours. It's like walking in and feeling like the butler or the housekeeper just left. :-) | |
