SE IL | I agree with Ed on the freezer. We blanch ours on the ear for 3-5 mins then cool in cold water so we can handle it then cut off, bag and freeze. Be sure to get as much air out of the bag as possible and when you put in the freezer scatter it out-don't stack it up. That way it freezes faster. Don't try to do too much at once without a lot of freezer area to spread it out. We don't put any thing on it before freezing.
