NE LA. across from the fiberglass Charolais bull | 1/2 gal. whole milk
1/2 gal. whipping cream
4 whole eggs
1 teaspoon Mexican vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
2 large cans frozen lemonade
Mix all ingredients and chill in refrigerator for a couple of hours.
Freeze as usual in 6 quart freezer
This lemon ice cream goes good on a hot day!
I know, the eggs are raw. I inspect the shells for hairline cracks before using and wash them. I've been using this reciepe for 35 years and no one has gotten sick yet. |
