ReluctantFarmWife-
I am in a different situation than you are but I think I may be able to help. I recently attended the New Century Farmer conference where Dr. Ron Hanson from Nebraska talked to us about farm succession. While the entire conference was amazing and life changing, the two hours that we spent with Dr. Hanson were by far the most helpful two hours of the entire week and quite possibly my life. He talked to us about the problems young farmers can face while trying to make a living farming with dad. He even talked to us from the perspective of the daughter in law. I was able to find a link to the same lecture but at a different venue.

Here is the link where I found 2 of his lectures that I think you will find very helpful. If you go to the link they are on the left hand side of the page in green text. I truly hope that this help you out, and that you are able to continue to talk with your husband and family about the subject. My thoughts and prayers will be with you!
