NC Iowa | Really need to look at geo. With all the rebates and credits, currently it's not much more then furnace/ A/C comp, especially if you will be in the house for 20 more years. Friend just built a new house and geo is only costing him $1,500 more. If you can get a cheaper electric rate for geo then you REALLY need to look at it.

I put a new Trane furnace and heatpump/ A/C unit in last year and am happy with it. Definitely go two stage or variable stage furnace, I never hear air from my ducts while the furnace is running, and the furnace is nearly silent also. | |
