Thank your wife for me . My deceased mother did this never fail, used to say I put on weight 2 times a year- planting time / harvest time. She used to bring casseroles alot , something you could eat with a spoon. Always brought a bottle of water and soap so we could wash our hands specially in the spring, in the fall too ( something about Gleaners). It doesn't have to be fancy, to me it's the thought that counts.Mac n cheese, rice n cheese, navy beans n ham,soups. I would think any kind of crock pot type meal would be fine and easy to transfer in the field to a plate, crock pot should be relatively easy to haul around too.
