it all depends on soil type and rainfall. mother nature still rules. in neia we plant 30-36000 depending on the previous and fert at 170-46-60. I have seen some amazing results with sulfur on sandy or highly eroded soils and also alfalfa. on good soils average yields of 170-180, excellent soils can be 200-240field averages and I am not exagerating
