Don't use round up alone some alfalfa will not die.Last yr I didn't get mine sprayed in fall coop had sprayer winterized so I ripped in fall,dug twice spring, planted RR corn,1st shot R added .5# atrizine,Looked like hell until we got it sprayed but cleaned up nice. This was straight alfalfa so we didn't have any sod to deal with.
