I'd use 4# glyphosate at 1.5 qts to 2.0 qts per acre plus 1.0 qt of 2,4-D Ester per acre. Use a non-ionic surfactant (maybe overload it) and ammonium fertilizer to really heat it up this late. This should clear things up well, and as for the spring, is no-till an option for you? We had a total of 2 inches of rain from planting to tasseling in some corn this year (and not rain during pollenation), that still looks well. It was no-tilled into burned off sod and I should know yield for sure as soon as it quits raining now!! If you no-till, I'd use every seed insect protection I could get my hands on in that old sod too. Best of Luck!
