No, see this is what happens when I try to remember stuff from spring that I spend a whole hour with in the spring! The recommendation was before you shutoff the oil flow, put the SCV's in float (ccs fan or vacuum motors) to let them freewheel. We replaced both vacuum motors on the old 16-30, but that was not a CCS planter. Reason we got from service was the "shock" of the oil's sudden stop.

Found this tip on Deere's website. Some other good stuff there concerning rebounders and other Deere seeding questions.
