Subject: RE: IVT and IMS

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
Our newest tractor is a 7830 with IVT. I haven't attempted any of the IVT functions involved with IMS. Since the IVT seems so intuitive I really hadn't thought about using it with IMS. One of my Coworkers has a 7820 with IVT and I believe he has tried some IVT with IMS scenarios.

Since I had trouble getting the "timing" correct when using hydraulic functions with the 8310 and 8120 (Powershift) and IMS, I'm not surprised at your problem of timing with the IVT. I can believe that the problem may actually be worse with IVT.

For this reason, I believe I will stick to my concept of using IMS for hydraulic functions only or for other functions only. It seems that trying to have IMS "do it all" is often counterproductive.
