North central North Dakota | I have a hydraulic winch on one air seeder and it works very nice. On my other air seeder I just have the hitch that slides out and side-to-side. That one is a pain to back up to NH3 tanks with. I have learned to leave tanks in a good spot so I can watch the wheel tracks form teh pickup that has dropped off the tank. I also take a wireless camera out of the cab and put on the hitch as I back up to see how close I am to the tank, then just use the swinging-telescoping hitch on air seeder to get the last part hooked up. Sometimes I can back up and just lift the hitch of the NH3 tank up and put the pin in - and be done. This is the same camera that I put on the combine and use with the grain cart system. I was told to try positioning the camera above the NH3 tank gauge to watch the levels but I am nervous about NH3 gas and electronics way back there. |
