Subject: Re: Goodyear tires bouncing

Leesburg, Ohio
Maybe Michelins are the answer...I know that Firestones are not! Every Firestone tire I have had on several different combines has had a severe bounce. In our case, the one set of Goodyears we had on a combine ran great. We have all Goodyears on our tractors (except one), and have never seen the bounce on those tractors. The one tractor that doesn't have Goodyears, has Firestones. It bounced some until we changed the front to Goodyears, and that got rid of most of the bounce. Still does it occasionally, but that's mostly due to a bent rim (don't ask ;-).
