Southeast MN | My heavy footed cousing had an 05 or 06 F150 4x4 with the 5.4 and mileage was 11-12 in town or on the highway at 80. Another guy liked the 4.6 with the high ratio axle, as he felt that motor liked to rev higher.
If considering the 5 speed, look at the towing guide to compare the ratings based on the tranny. It used to be the manual had a lower rating in the 1/2 tons. This told me to stay away from the stick as it wasn't as strong as the auto.....also based on very bad experience here with a 5 speed in a '95 S10. | |
