It made a Crop | Kind'a OT Rant here.
Man what is with newer Motors. Dad gets 20+ mpg in his '94 F-150 4x4 with a 302. I'm guessing part of is because he's not driving 70 mph on the interstate. It's just county roads and state highways.
Sometimes I wish I had my old '83 escort. 35-40 mpg avg. Interstate driving 65-75 on a couple Florida trip it averaged 45 mpg. I know it only had a 1.6L producing a wopping 80 hp. But, it got me everywhere I needed to go. It was a two Hatchback. When I'd fill it up with Computer Equipment. I called it my 3/4 ton Escort. And with those P155/80R-13 tires it go through snow as well as my F-150 with the Armstrong Norseman 33"x21.5x15R's. | |
