If I figure out what I think causes the slipping I will post it, right now the only thing I can think of is if the tractor was shut down hot for some reason.
And the other reason I made this post was if the gear slips for enough it will change the valve timing enough to allow the pistons to hit the valves before they close, had one tractor break the head off and bust a hole in a piston.
If for any reason the inj pump is out of time please do not retime it find out if the cam gear has slipped, it only takes about an hour.
