We have a used Dayco and wouldn't be without it. Bought it over 20 years ago. It uses a hand press/porta power type unit for the hyd. pressure to crimp. It is very simple, many dies. We've taken it to the field to splice hoses that are extremely long when the hose blew near one end. Could have bought another one at an auction a few years ago and probably should have. It was 1 or 2 models newer and fancier than what we use. We have a basic supply of ends on hand. Before that had a Couplamatic unit for use in a press. It's still on a shelf.
