East Kansas, DeSoto | Many processes are shut down because of "pollution rules". We had more than one process shut down on that account but one of the most ridiculous we processed apples and some of the apple residue was getting to the sewer plant and we were forced to shut down as cost would be prohibitive to process everything ourselves so we quit. The sewer plant called up and said please;ease sened it is feeding our bugs to help process all the other "cleaned" up sewage. So then finished product comes from another country at a lower cost at that time. Read your apple juice country of origin in the plastic on the bottle. If you can find it it usually reads China.
