Central Kansas
South Central Kansas...August 1st markets: Alfalfa: Dairy, Supreme $125-155/ton; Premium 110-125, Good 95-115. Stock cow, no test, 110-125. Utility-fair grinding alfalfa at the edge of the field, 95-110.

Brome hay is scarce, good small squares 90-100. Bluestem, small squares, good 80-95. Quality praire hay is used to start calves into the feed lots and is in very short supply locally. Better volume in the Flint hills east but trucking charges are very high. These prices are all FOB.

Horse alfalfa..small squares, $150-170.

===> A good bit of CRP grass has been cut and round baled as well as failed corn chopped for the silo. Starting to see soybeans swathed and baled. Pretty dang dry in this neck of the woods.

Sudan grass hay in large square bales is $100 FOB
