Horse hay doesn't need any feed value, or protein, it just has to look pretty enough for the buyer to eat. The wrong end of the horse buys most of the horse hay. I sell 800& ton a yr of horse hay in "idiot bricks" out of 3 sheds. Don't know if the term "idiot bricks" describes the fellow that puts them up or the fellow buying those damm things.
