Madision County, IL
Ontrack,

We have a 39' Wil-Rich chisel plow that is used to apply anhydrous on 12" centers and then as a field cultivator before we plant corn.

There are many companies that supply sweeps for chisel plows that work for a heavy shank. Make sure the sweeps are designed for the pitch of your shanks.

We level with a five bar spike harrow and pull a Remlinger Harrow with two rolling baskets to break up any clods and firm the soil.

The system worked well for us last year and allowed us to get rid of a 36.5' field cultivator. A chisel plow will also handle higher field speeds.

So far we feel good about our decision. A NH3 applicator and field cultivator in one machine.

Good luck!!!
