NW Washington
Where are the Montana dryland wheat farmers? I think using a chisel plow for all their tillage is or was fairly common. Sometimes a hydraulic or ground powered rod-weeder attachment is put on the back for secondary tillage. A rod-weeder would probably not work in corn residue. AS they say, "whatever works." You can buy differnent types of sweeps and the low rise western type sweeps move less soil.
