Subject: slightly off topic - residential AC

Washington, Kansas & Lincoln, Nebraska
I'm having problems cooling the old farmhouse with 2½ year old central AC. I put the gauges on it tonight. Outdoor ambient is now roughly 77F. Hi side running 190 psi. Low running 55 psi, which seems high to me. Am I right? Temperature differential from intake to discharge side of system is only 9 degrees F. My 20 year old system at wife's house runs more than 20 degree differential and cools great. Thanks in advance for any advice.
