80 bushels is a typical yield goal here for SRWW.

It has been easier for me to accomplish when I soil test, tissue test previous crops and "balance" the nutrient load.

You have to kill the weeds, keep the dead spots to a minimum with drainage, seeding, seed quality etc.

If you can prevent Barley Yellow Dwarf Virus or keep it to the minimum, you usually test your record yeilds here.

That would be my advice...
