Here's a breakdown of what options mean on DroneDeploy:

Filter type (this is what kind of filter/lens is on the camera):
RGB: red green blue, this is the correct option for a normal camera
NRG: Near infrared green blue
NGB: Near Infrared green blue (most consumer cameras that are modified for NIR are this)
RGN: red, green, Near Infrared (same as NRG, but when you do data analysis with this filter, be careful which bands you are assigning when running an index)
NB: Near Infrared Blue
NG:Near Infrared Green

Algorithm:
VARI: best index when looking at vegetation with a typical camera (RGB camera) this is what you want when flying over your fields with a stock phantom camera to do vegetation analysis
NDVI: best index for NIR cameras (DO NOT USE WITH TYPICAL CAMERA! INCORRECT READINGS OF VEGETATION!)
ENDVI: enhanced NDVI, not used as much, used with NIR cameras (DO NOT USE WITH TYPICAL CAMERA! INCORRECT READINGS OF VEGETATION!)
GNDVI: green NDVI, made to pick up on vigor changes in fields, used with NIR cameras (DO NOT USE WITH TYPICAL CAMERA! INCORRECT READINGS OF VEGETATION!)
OSAVI: soil adjusted vegetation index, use with NIR camera and when crop is less than 40% of image (other 60% is bare soil), used with NIR cameras (DO NOT USE WITH TYPICAL CAMERA! INCORRECT READINGS OF VEGETATION!)
RDVI: another index, not commonly used, used with NIR cameras (DO NOT USE WITH TYPICAL CAMERA! INCORRECT READINGS OF VEGETATION!)
SAVI: another soil adjusted index, OSAVI is more accurate, used with NIR cameras (DO NOT USE WITH TYPICAL CAMERA! INCORRECT READINGS OF VEGETATION!)

Hope this helps! Unless you move to NIR, stick with VARI and RGB. NIR can pick up on stress 2 weeks before the human eye can tell, so maybe make the leap when you are ready
