Subject: RE: Massey Ferguson help

thanks sri, we'll have to try those ideas this weekend. One question, i take it that you need to drain the tank to pull that plug out of the tank, right? Dad just filled the tank {imagine that}.
He tells me that he opens the bleed screws on the injection pump and manually operates the transfer pump and bleeds it then it will start. It seems that there is fuel at the transfer pump.
That CAV injection pump doesn't have a transfer pump in it like a RoosaMaster does it? I don't think it does, so if there is something wrong with the transfer pump the injection pump would only be gravity fed fuel from the filters until it gulped some air. A Rossa would try to cavite, wouldn't it? Because its internal transfer pump would still try to be pulling some fuel.
This Massey work is new to me, thanks for the ideas.
I'll post back when i have more info.
