You have the same idea I have! Must be a Kansas thing. I'd like to have an 853A painted red to match my 2188 -and I'd put the JD decals on it. LOL Nothing runs like a Deere - and it's a dern good thing too!!!!!!!!!

I harvested 100 acres of oil flowers last year and never had fire trouble. I rented a 653A head. Would have liked to have modified the outside of the end rows with higher tin, but didn't dare on a rental. Other than losing heads on the ends I thought it worked great.
