Somerville, Indiana
I know what you are talking about...But don't you really think that if Case can build a tractor that is otherwise as good as the Magnum series, they should also put a decent hyd coupling system on it?..There is no excuse for having to go to all that trouble...If pushing the hyd levers forward to float detent doesn't work, then something is wrong in the coupling...Kind of forgotten about all the problems we had, it works good now, but there is something about the check valve in the tractor not releasing pressure with the engine off isn't there?..Going to have to check on that today...Reach around the back of the female block and make sure the fitting is all the way back toward the implement before trying to couple the male fitting.

After I done all the bitchin on the hyd fitting Ralph has been doing all the hooking up with the Magnum, I usually use the Versatile with late model Pioneer females.

And thats another thing...Why do they have to have such complicated fittings when a short hose and regular couple under pressure Pioneer coupling will work just fine for years...We replaced ours on the Versatile after 20 years, most of that was high cycling hydraulics with a scraper.
