I would strongly recommend a big NO to the stone retarder drum on the front, if anything screws up the feeding in soybeans its that thing. Stick with the rocktrap, put the slow speed sprocket on it, and you should be good to go. I've cut lots of beans with both 30' 1020s and 36' drapers, as long as everything is set up correctly you'll be able to cruise along without any complaint from the feeder.
