Subject: RE: Dealing with building contractors

West of Mpls MN about 50 miles on Hwy 12
I have had a crew of 15-20 guys working this week between rain events repairing our buildings that got hailed out last summer. They are working on the house roof as I type.

Tuesday they replaced all of the roof tin on a 36'x150'x14' shed and a 36'x80'x14' shed. Friday they replaced all of the roof tin on a 60'x80'x16' shop. By the end of today they will have all of the roof steel replaced on the house and all of the steel replaced on the North wall of the shop. This crew are experts at working with ladders. The only man/material lifts used so far are the spider forklifts the two trucks were packing that delivered materials.

The crew here is very well managed by Angel. They work fast and have done very good work so far. Communication between Moe the salesman, Fio the job coordinator, Angel the foreman, Mark the quality assurance person, and myself has been excellent...none of them speak Finn. I stay out of their way so I don't get trampled.

So far so good dealing with this building contractor. I wish the Farm Bureau insurance adjuster had more prompt and better communication skills.
