IL | My wife got me a 1 gal ice cream maker for christmas, and now we're ready for some, even if I have to make it in my heated shop. We got the recipe for our favorite local , but it is a 5 gal batch. I've broken down all the ingredients to 1 gal, but the junkets and eggs come out to a whole number plus a partial. Can we make the 5 gal batch, then measure out the right amount for the 1 gal, then put the rest in the fridge? I think were going to try to measure the partial amount on our first try
