Slicker than a Yes album.
I have a Kitchen Aid mixer with ice cream bowl attachment. This makes a really good vanilla base (for plain, chocolate or insert your additive here!)
I also have a maple pecan one that uses real maple syrup as the sugar sweetener.
Seems like it works best to heat things to kill the germs, then cool it off before freezing it. I know it's good because there was ZERO ice crystals after 3 months in the freezer! (yay for milk fat!)
