My mother's recipe for homemade ice cream (1 gallon).
2 cups sugar, 1 tablespoon flour, pinch of salt, 1 beaten egg, 4 cans evaporated milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring, complete the gallon with whole milk, turn on the ice cream maker.
I added that last part. :-)
