Braums is a good alternative to MCDs in our area. Like you say good beef and they offer cottage cheese as a side alternative. We can get unsweetened ice tea about everywhere around here. Not so in the south. Seems like sweet is the standard.

I also use mustard as my go to condiment. Never was particularly a mustard guy before but taste buds have changed since getting off the sweet taste. I finally, after better part of a year, kicked the diet soda habit and that was probably the hardest thing for me to do about the whole ordeal. Cut out all sweeteners, artificial or natural. That period is when I figured out I was addicted. Once I got rid of the sweet taste I no longer craved it.

Not everyone has to go to the extreme I did, but it worked for me.
