I actually started sprinting just this year. This spring some time. I don't do any long runs, but do a 50-100 yard dash as fast as I can run. Enough to wind me for a few minutes. Then I loop back and catch my wife who is walking and walk with her for a while.
I can tell my legs feel better and more coordinated after the sprint. I have had some trouble with them since my motorcycle accident three years ago.
Five years ago I would have maybe been able to get up to a trot for 25 yards. If that.
I probably should be doing it a couple times a day. Scuba dive instead. Maybe I will work up to it. | |
