That won't affect the division of the remainder of the estate between the three siblings, as far as I know. GPA could have put his IRA worth 90% of the estate toward Kamala for president, and the three heirs would get thirds of the remainder. The tractor will come out of your mother's third as you mentioned, it's up to you if you want it that much, or think it has to be justified, or think it's a good enough investment as it is not to have to justify. Might make a difference what value the estate decides to put on it, whether that is reasonable or not. | |
