Subject: Walnut trees

Its a different type of crop but still harvestable. What are people getting nowadays for them? Nothing new to me but just wanting to see what thougts are. I know how well they grade depends on what they are worth such as just lumber, 3 sided veneer or full veneer logs. Had a logger come in and marked trees and came out to $700 average per tree. Thats for trees worth probably $2-300 and ones worth $1500+. We've lost a lot of trees because dad wouldn't let our last guy thats retired cut them. Company that came in and looked is out of Bloomfield Iowa. As with all things sold off the farm its whole sale unfinished product. So i know if veneer if $8 a board ft probably expect 4 of 5.
