SE Indiana | Hire a licensed forester to conduct a sale for you. We had a storm hit some of our wood land, it did extensive damage to many large trees. We called a local forester to evaluate what was there. He recommended marking the entire tract. He did the work, inventoried the timber, and advertised the sale. Several buyers looked at the timber and bid on the trees. The forester gets a percentage of the sale and we got a nice check. The winning bid was over 3 times the low bid. | |
