NE Iowa | That was just a straight bid on marked trees with no yield and grade. I didn't see the trees myself but they range from junky saw logs to top quality veneer and everything in between. I myself have about 50 walnuts marked that a logger I trust is going to cut on shares. They will get them cut and in a pile and then get bids from the 3 local mills and one local exporter. I will get 75% and the person doing the cutting and skidding will get 25%. | |
