DeereMan97 - 3/13/2024 18:52 Because you fail to see how this will affect you later. The precedent will be set that congress can ban whatever app/website they deem “problematic”. What happens if NAT becomes “problematic”? After all, there’s a lot of people on here talking negatively and spreading misinformation. And furthermore, everyone cries the blues about TikTok while completely ignoring the fact that X and Facebook have been doing the same thing for years. So it’s okay for an American company, under the control of the American government, can collect your data and our own government can use it against us. But don’t worry about that, let’s worry about China, because all of the sudden we care about our teenagers/youth and how they’re being affected by social media. Give me a break. What’s the old saying? Why trade 1 tyrant 3000 miles away for 3000 tyrants 1 mile away?

Hey, Mr. Genius, Tiktok is controlled by the Chinese Communist Party.  Why would you bring other sites into the discussion.

This is a great development..............
