| I tried to buy a really nice cow farm back in December, one county below Wayne county, iowa, in Missouri. Had three nice ponds, great fence where it needed to be. 70% of it coulda been row cropped pretty easily. I wanted it for a hunting farm, it was just too much pasture for what I was looking for, I wanted more timber. Offered $4,000. It brought $4,500. As nice of pasture as it gets, really. You may need to relocate to southern Iowa or Missouri to get somewhat reasonable pasture bought. If it screams whitetail, move on, cuz you won’t touch it for under $6,000. The good deer ground is 7 plus now. It’s kinda funny, for as much as deer are hated on NAT, they sure are worth a crap ton of money.
