Must be very close to a town if you don't have a well?

The co-op here basically had to put one in even though they are on the edge of town, same with septic system. Not always a bad thing, just not what you would expect, but at least with the well they have plenty of pumping capacity. If need be it is another spot the fire department can get water from without worrying about drawing too much out of the city water system.

I'm a mile out of town and have my own well also.

I hadn't looked at the drought monitor map for a while, knew it was dry here but a large chunk of Iowa looks to be in rough shape if it doesn't rain this spring.
