Subject: Biggest single improvement in growing beans?

Croswell, Michigan
What has been your biggest single management practice in growing better soybeans?

Changing planting date?
Fungicide programs?
Fertility programs?
Row width ?
Something else?

In corn we have had slow steady yield gains but there are two things I have done in the last 30 years that have really taken things up a notch.

In beans, I can’t seem to find that jump. There has been slow and somewhat steady yield improvement but... While I can grow good beans, I can’t consistently hit the goals I am shooting for.

Edit, after seeing a couple of responses, everything I have is grid tiled at 40’ or less.
