EC IA
Row width is an interesting topic for sb's. I have been making it a goal to purchase a split row planter. However, I have not been able to pull the trigger on the money they are brining (I am a STO). I was planning to bid on one today and while talking to the current owner who is selling it he said part of the reason he was selling was him and everyone around him were switching back to 30 inch rows because they all had determined there was no difference in yield. This is N Ill, EC IA. Maybe this is a latitude thing? I do think more narrow rows would help with weed control and I am all in on bigger yields but my thinking now is why pay to join the split row planter club or spend $ on a different planter when there may not be a yield advantage?
