Holland, Indiana (SW IN) | One different management practice IMO is asking the wrong question
No different than corn takes a system
We’re in SW Indiana
Cheapest and huge yield increase most years for me us is early planting
One of my favorite sayings “ If god hadn’t wanted us to plant soybeans early when it’s plenty wet he wouldn’t have given us a 4 wheel drive tractor to
pull the planter”
So more
Sulfur
CC
PH in our area at least 6.8
Fungicide
Kill stink bugs — they can hurt yield badly
We plant no more than 110K seeds probably different in your area
Harvest start at 18 % + try to keep up before moisture is 10% or less
To harvest green stemmed wet soybeans have to have the combine set up to do it and 500 hp helps
