One year I got a bill after planting, P wanted an extra thousand or so for seed.   I didn't make any changes or add seed.   I'm still not sure how P was figuring but it had something to do with the volume discount and how it was calculated.   Talk to seed salesman and he straightened it out, never cost me anything.   So, that's where you start.   Mine was all pre pay before Jan 1 too.
