A neighbor was a Viet Vet, a Marine. had a plate in his head from an injury. We were in town for a Memorial Day celebration one time and there was a deputy standing on the street who was oriental. When he saw him standing there in a uniform, he got a scary look on his face and just froze, staring at him. His wife had to take right a hold of his face and pull him away.
