Subject: RE: Better Run Through the Jungle

North Dakota
Also primarily young but also older generation were outright forced to stop using their native language, culture, traditions, religion and then prodded to some of the most financially worthless land that could be found. That is , until gold, oil, coal, etc were discovered and then either forced to move or have tribal lands shrunk in size. Then placed on the government dole disincentivizing economic independence and well being. Essentially creating a government endorsed and funded prison camp of sorts.
Many of these same tribal citizens, after all they had been put through and with their diminished position in society, enlisted in all the wars this country has engaged in, in its support. They did so with honor, merit and a patriotic fervor unrivaled when considering their circumstances. Enduring the same treatment as their brothers in arms when they returned home. Adding on top of that the conditions of the reservation life they returned too.

No doubt about it. All that demands a TREMENDOUS amount of honor and respect.
