| Oh I hear ya for sure on having to put horses down. It hurts me every time. Friend had two that got tangled up in barbed wire. (This was just before my hospitalization.) Their injuries were too severe to correct with surgery. I had to walk one of them away from the main barn while two mares were tagging along to see where we were heading. It feels awful to be the one leading it away for the last time slowly. Horse is limping badly the whole way and you're trying to minimize the pain. Got someone to shew the other horses away so the rest could be done. The second horse was left at the vet to see if it could be saved. Vet said no so the friend gave the go ahead to let them put it down. | |
