nebraska | I would hook it up with just the two lower arms connected, leave the pin out of the top link on the planter. This way the planter will be carried about half and half on the tractor and lift assist wheels and allow for flex between the two. I would also leave the quick hitch on and pull in the top link of the tractor so just in case you go through a deep ditch the planter has a stop from coming forward over center.
I’ve always left the wings to float on my planter but do have a few weights on the end of the bar to maintain down pressure. | |
